My 1st solo was in kindergarten: Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, self accompanied on plastic toy guitar. Also over their heads. I’m pretty sure I had a little crying meltdown afterwards, in light of the other children’s philistine response or lack thereof.

Sang it for Rob Ashford two weeks ago in an audition. For a  Broadway show. Really. Also over their heads, I think. Certainly over mine. No guitar. No crying. Should have included both. Might have booked the job.
